Yoshinogari Keitai-Guide
Yayoi period desks have been found among the objects excavated at the Sasai ruins in Fukuoka prefecture. How were Yayoi period desks used? Judging by material such as pictures from ancient China, high-ranking people probably used desks of this kind in ceremonies. For members of the governing class living in Yoshinogari, a desk was probably an important status symbol. This desk was restored by referring to artifacts excavated from the Sasai ruins.
