Yoshinogari Keitai-Guide
Topographically, this structure stands at the highest point of the Southern Inner Enclosure, and is located between the king’s residence and the plaza in an east-west alignment. From this disposition and the fact that it is different from a pit dwelling as well as being a large pillared structure, it is assumed to be an Assembly Hall for political formalities, discussions and meetings of the governing class.
